RIP Judith Krug
April 13th, 2009
I was pointed to the fact that Judith Krug passed away on Saturday morning by a post in friend’s blog (who happens to be a librarian). Why does this matter? Judith Krug was the librarian who started the Banned Books Week.
The movement she started with this did a great deal to bring attention to censorship movement and the fact there are books out there that we need to fight for people to be able to read.
The continuing attention of this movement is a hell of a legacy to leave behind when you die.
